{ ENGAGEMENT SESSION }
1. What the heck should I wear?
This question stumps me everyday. Alas, I do have some great resources for clothing ideas and inspiration.
Here are a few sites I would check out either to purchase from or just get ideas about your attire.
First and foremost just be yourself! No need to match each other, unless of course you and your fiance wear matching outfits on a daily basis. ( I hope that’s not the case)![]()
Layers, textures, color, and accessories all make for great pictures.
- Ex: Hats, scarfs, buttons, lace, neck ties, fun shoes, jewelry, and a little extra makeup.
2. How long is the session? Can we change outfits?
The session is about an hour long and you can bring up to 3 outfits. At least one casual and one more dressy outfit is recommended. But like I said before be yourself!
A few other things to consider bringing are props. If your going for a particular theme props are a great way to portray that theme in pictures.
- Ideas are: Chair or love seat, quilt to lay on, old car or truck, bicycles, suite cases, picnic basket, balloons.
3. Where will we take the pictures? Can we shoot at a few locations?
Since we have done this well…. A LOT we have several locations and go-to spots that we can recommend. We would also love to incorporate any special locations or spots around town that are meaningful to you and your fiance. One good way to determine your location setting is by letting us know what kind of look, feel, or theme you are going for.
Here are a few ideas!
- Vintage – Record Store, second hand store, old book store or library. A laundry mat, open field or classic architecture.
- Rustic – Old barn, building, or run down part of town. Multi colored walls, back alley’s or warehouses.
- Modern – Modern buildings, parking garages or new construction.
4. When can I expect to see the pictures?
Our turnaround time for uploading the images to your online gallery is 7 to 10 days. All of the images (about 40 to 50) are fully edited. Since we shoot all digital you will also have the option to change any picture from color to black and white and vice verse. Just another added perk!!
5. Does your CD come with printing rights?
YESSS! We believe that you should have printing rights to all of your beautiful photos. We want you to print them as much as you like AND because they are all high res. images you will be able to print them as BIG as you like!
{ BRIDAL SESSION }
Here are some things to consider for your bridal session.
1. Location
Austin is full of beautiful locations for bridal pictures. Some are free but most places charge a fee ranging anywhere from $75 to $300.
I can send you a list of locations to consider and look over or another way to view some bridal hot-spots is by clicking on the “bridal” category on my blog.
2. What to bring.
A bouquet of flowers is recommended. You can have your wedding florist put it together or stop on into Central Market and they can fix one right up for you.
A few other fun accessories to consider are:
- A Parasol
- Fabulous Shoes
- Bird Veil (even if you don’t plan on wearing one down the isle it is still a great accessory for a few pictures)
- I would also recommend browsing the Etsy Wedding site for vintage jewelry, accessories, and other great stuff for your bridal shoot or wedding day.
