From the couple....

Q: How did you meet?

A: "We were introduced in December 2011 by mutual friends. Jason was about to head out for a couple of months on an offshore rig gig, so the timing was precisely wrong for him to ask me out. But once he made it back to shore, he contacted me, and for our second date, which happened to be Valentine’s Day, he made me his mom’s veggie lasagna.

Jason proposed in November 2014 in Paris, France. I was there on a business trip and focused in on work mode - so it totally caught me off guard and was a complete surprise.

Q: Tell us about planning your big day.

A: "We decided we wanted to have a small outdoor wedding and therefore we were looking for a smaller venue to make sure we'd stick to the plan. We looked at a few other places around town but fell in love with Hotel Saint Cecilia. It's just the perfect Austin spot with a vintage, rock and roll feel to it. We wanted our wedding reception to feel like a really nice dinner party in the garden and that's exactly how it felt. I loved the succulent and rustic flowers, the mixed color wine goblets, the candle votives, the place settings, etc. Everything turned out perfectly!

We're both are gone so often for work so we decided to use my office address for our gift registry so that the packages would all be received and stored indoors. In turn my coworkers received multiple deliveries per day for the month leading up to the wedding. They didn't know what to do with all of the packages. The office was overflowing with boxes!"
