I photographed Abby's sisters wedding a couple of years ago. I was so excited when she contacted me about her big day. After working with Abby and Grayson on their engagement session I was very much looking forward to their wedding. They are so sweet and laid back I knew it would be a fantastic event to be a part of.

How they met:.

"We met while Abby was a senior in college and Grayson was an intern with Cru. Though we don't remember when exactly we met, we became friends quickly when Abby started interning that following year. Our friendship grew as we worked together, were in the same small group at Providence (our church), and spent more time together with our friends. Grayson eventually asked Abby on a date in March of 2013, and on September 13, 2014 he asked her to be his wife while dove hunting with friends in Fort Worth"

About their wedding day:

"We wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities and our friendship. Having Maudie's as our catering was a no-brainer, because about half of our dates were spent over their fajitas. We wanted to get married at Central Christian church because the church where we fell in love (Providence Church) meets there. Everything else was just easy! We wanted to have a live band because some of our favorite memories surround dancing the night away at friends' weddings, so we wanted our friends to have the same experience at our wedding. Everything was special and perfect.

My favorite part of the wedding planning process was the invitations. I love paper and knew I wanted a classic and yet modern look, so I asked my friend Ashley to write out our names in her beautiful handwriting, and then help me design the rest of the invitations. They turned out so lovely!"
