Vista West Ranch / Brittany + Jordan
This Texas girl and Canadian guy went all the way to NY to meet on a film set. So sweet! I met these two a few months back for the first time when they came into town for their engagement session. When they pulled up and got out of the car I had no idea they were professional models. Needless to say I have had so much fun photographing them, not just because they are hot, but because their love How did you choose your venue?
"Vista West Ranch was a beautiful, romantic and intimate setting for our special day. The staff were incredible and truly helped make it a day to remember. The decor and theme was vintage & romantic and it was truly beautiful. We loved every minute of the experience. "
From the bride: "The day of the ceremony, the Groom's Canadian groomsmen got Texaned up in cowboy gear, one friend even went so far as to convincingly dress himself as a ranch hand. They found the classic outfits at a local thrift store. Mustaches soon followed and the laughter was endless. Canadians substituted there "EH's" for " Y'ALLS" and the Texans didn't know what hit'em. Andrea + Chris {Married}
//Words by Andrea + Chris We met on a hot summer's day at high school band camp...ah, so romantic!
In high school we both played saxophone in band so consequently we were around each other a lot. It did not take much time before we were sitting next to each other at every football game and soon enough became best friends. After high school, we both came to Austin to attend The University of Texas and immediately fell in love with this weird city. Austin has become home for us and we are so excited to start our marriage in the best city in the world.
I love Texas and I love vintage decor! I had a huge list of venues I wanted to check out in the central Texas area and after visiting Vista West Ranch with Chris, we knew immediately that it was where we wanted to get married.
My grandma was always a huge collector of antiques and even owned her own antique store in Amarillo, Texas. My whole life I have been inspired by her love of old and beautiful things and even have become a bit of a collector myself. All my centerpieces included either vintage books or glass from our combined collections. My grandma passed away in January and it was so sad she could not physically be there to witness our marriage, but it was so special to still have a part of her there with us on our wedding day.
Chris and I got engaged during my last year of nursing school. It was always crazy trying to find time to plan in the midst of clinicals, papers, and studying. Wedding planning almost became therapeutic for me because it distracted me from the stress of school. I had so much fun planting all the succulents used in the centerpieces and collecting all the different vintage pieces.
Taking communion together was so special for us because it was a moment we could have alone together in the middle of the ceremony where everything feels so overwhelming and emotional.
I had so much fun dancing during our reception with all our friends and family. We danced to the point that my hair started falling down and my bustle came out of my dress! It was definitely a party to remember.

Scott and I met through mutual friends our freshman year of college and started dating our sophomore year.
COLLEGE SWEETHEARTS!! *Swoon*
Three Points Ranch was one of the first venues we found online and we knew right away we had to visit. We researched other venues, but Three Points Ranch was always in the back of our mind. The day we finally saw Three Points Ranch, we knew it was the one. The scenery is absoultely beautiful. Sally's done such an awesome job at decorating that all we added was flowers and some small personal touches. The options of two ceremony locations is amazing, and both are gorgeous! The airstream trailers in the reception site are decorated wonderfully and provide a great place for wedding parties to get ready in and for guest to lounge around in. We wanted a fun atmosphere for our friends and family, and Three Points Ranch provided the perfect ambiance.
What was your favorite part in the wedding planning process?
Seeing everything that was picked out through out the wedding planning process come together on the day of our wedding. It was like seeing all the pieces of a puzzle come together.
What was the favorite moment of your day?
It rained all day day Friday and Saturday morning. Hours before the ceremony the rain stopped. As I walked down the aisle to "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beetles, the sun broke from the clouds. It was the perfect way to start the ceremony and beautiful evening.
We loved spending the day with our closest friends and family and dancing the night away. Our wedding day couldn't have gone any better!

Tell us your story...
Nick and I met at {my parent's} ranch on June 12, 2009. My mom, Sherri Moffa, was throwing an engagement party for my cousin Ryan and her fiancee Griff. Ryan and Griff brought along a few of their closest friends for the weekend, Nick being one of them. After spending the weekend getting to know each other, Nick asked me for my email address, and the rest is history!
We chose the venue because that is where Nick and I met and got engaged. There was a lot of sentimental value attached to the ranch, and having it any where else just wouldn't have felt right!
...everything just kept falling into place. At a time like this in life, it's really amazing to see how much people who love you will do for you. I'm very grateful to all my friends and family for their extensive amount of help and their efforts put forth to make it all possible. The wedding was beyond my expectations, and I could not be any more happy with the way everything turned out.
One afternoon, Nick and I kidnapped his cousin, Wyatt and asked him to please help us to decide what Nick should wear to the wedding! On our way to a potential clothing store, I showed Wyatt a photo of me in my dress. He proceeded to tell Nick, he thinks he should wear something dressy, like a three piece suit. Nick responds, " Well, I have a three piece suit...and it was my Dad's.....and it's blue." Perfect! So we turn the car around and head back home. We took the suit to Jan at The Clothing Hospital, and she worked her magic...!
After getting engaged, my mom asked me if I would want to wear her dress for my wedding. I said yes of course! We took the dress to The Clothing Hospital in Austin, Texas for a little altering. We decided to take the sleeves off the dress to bring it up to date, and make it more suitable for an outdoor May wedding in the Texas heat.
...we decided the wedding colors should be ivory and brown, and at Nick's request, "a manly color" - so blue you have it.
With a vintage dress, a LOVE for old things, and plenty of inspiration found on Pinterest, my cousins and I set out to do some antique shopping. Here we found several suitable centerpiece items. A couple visits to Hobby Lobby and Michaels, and many hours later, attempting to group the random items, the centerpieces (no two alike) were finally complete!
My family and friends joined me one week in March for craft time! Here we pulled together our DIY Pinterest inspired details and made them reality. Everything from program fans, to antique dictionary paper bird seed send-off cones, to fabric wrapped hoola-hoops came to life.
My favorite part of the wedding planning process was working with my mom of course! I have so much appreciation for her help and all her hard work. I am very lucky she is so good at throwing a party!
Nick and I are 11 years apart! ...So were his parents, AND his great-grandparents! Nick and I did not have a traditional wedding party. Instead, we asked our siblings to stand next to us. I asked my brother, David, to be my best man, and Nick asked his sister, Loann, to be his matron of honor.
My favorite party of the day? What a tough question. Besides marrying the love of my life, my favorite part of the day was listening to the Best Man and Matron of Honor (our siblings) give their speeches. Both were moving and humorous, and sent tears rolling down my cheeks. We are so lucky to have family who care so much.
Other highlights include:
Dancing with my dad to Kevin Fowler's "Daddies and Daughters".
Watching two of my girlfriends, Sepi and Maureen, DIVE ON THE GROUND for my bouquet.
Having such an amazing officiant, my cousin, give such a touching, beautiful and memorable ceremony. It was perfect.
Getting ready with all my ladies, and having them all BALLING as I put my dress on.
And seeing all the people who I love, all in one place.
